TIP OF THE WEEK #14
The tip of the week is here! I, Nicole have started my seventh week in the quarantine (!!!) Without going out at all, (I have not stepped a foot outside the house) Sounds crazy? Yes probably, but it is actually not that bad! I thought I would write down my best tips (basically what I am doing every day) if you are struggling!
–Get a routine. You need to get out of bed in the morning. I have a Skype meeting with work every morning at 10. I literally have an alarm 9.45 so I have time to make my coffee before the meeting starts, and this sets my base of the day! So important! That first cup of coffee in the morning is just sooo good and it gets me going.
–If you have the luxury to go out, go out for a long walk every day! I spend at least a couple hours every day on the balcony or terrace just to get some fresh air and be in the sun. (Or listen to the rain with a window open, I think it is so cozy!)
–Bake!!! I just can’t stop. Haha… I bake almost every/ every other day. It is first of all so fun, time flies and just tastes so good. All you need to do is go on Pinterest and you find millions of amazing recipes that you will want to try.
–I just watch Forrest Gump with Ruben. He was so surprised I never saw it before. Crazy right? If you are in the same boat as I was, you need to watch it! Find it on Netflix.
–If you haven’t yet, you need to watch La Casa De Papel on Netflix! No further comments. Just do it!!! (We are rewatching it right now, so yes it is THAT good)
–I also started to rewatch some old series on Netflix that I used to watch when I was in high school, not sure why but it is really fun! Brings back memories and it is still so good! The best thing about it is that you can only watch your favorite episodes! I am currently rewatching Gossip Girl and Glee.
–Have a spa evening! Light some candles, have a facemask and paint your nails and put on some cozy music, can it be any better than that?
–Have a good workout! I have started biking a lot (inside obviously). When I started I thought it was boring, but now I am literally flying!!! Give it a try. Put some good music on that is all you need.
–Call a friend you haven’t talked with in a long time!
–I usually don’t read that much, but I wish I did. I found an old book and started reading it, and I finished it surprisingly quickly. Search a home, you might find something interesting to read.
–Last but not least, write a to-do list! It helps me every day. Every time I finish a task I just feel so good and it motivates me to do the next.
